What to do in an emergency?
Have you found an animal? We have listed the most important emergency stations here - please contact the colleagues listed below directly!
Since we do not operate an animal shelter or similar facility at our association address, we cannot take in injured or found animals.
Dogs
If you find a stray dog in the city area 59821 Arnsberg, please contact the Iserlohn animal shelter, as we cannot take in any animals.
The Iserlohn animal shelter has a contract with the city of Arnsberg that they will take in found animals (including cats, birds, etc.).
Contact details can be found >>here<
Has your dog run away?
- Stay at the place where you left your dog, dogs usually return there. Stay, even if it's difficult and may take hours! If you run around the area frantically, you will cover your own scent mark and make it impossible for your dog to find you.
- If you can't stay, leave a t-shirt, socks, or whatever WORN clothing you can spare. Later, go back to where your dog ran off to. If you're lucky, your darling will be waiting for you there.
- Only if this is unsuccessful should you create flyers! Report him as missing to TASSO eV! By the way, you have to register your dog with TASSO yourself, this is not done by the vet who gave him the chip.
